This section of the manual discusses the options listed on the SVCONTHEGO Dispatch Board menu.

  • Daily Dispatch Board: View and modify service jobs from a computer generated Daily Dispatch Board that shows the service jobs a day at a time.
  • Weekly Dispatch Board: View and modify service jobs from a fully customizable graphical display that shows the service jobs one week at a time.
  • Monthly Dispatch Board: View and modify service jobs from a fully customizable graphical display that shows the service jobs one month at a time.

Daily Dispatch Board[edit]

The Daily Dispatch Board is a fully customizable graphical dispatch board, which provides the ability to do the following:

  • Customize the Daily Dispatch Board
  • The ability to schedule service jobs on a quarter hour increment

Select the Daily Dispatch Board from the Dispatch Menu. Once selected the following screen is presented.

  • Start: Loads or refreshes Daily Dispatch Board.
  • Display Options: Select to manage the appearance and search parameters of the forms that appear in the Daily Dispatch Board. A detailed description of this feature can be found on the Call Central page. You can also add a new service job to the dashboard by selecting Create New Service Job from the Display Options drop down. A detailed description of how to create a new job can be found on the Jobs page of this manual.
  • Form Display (Default):Use the drop-list to specify which form should appear in the Daily Dispatch Board.

Once the parameters of the Daily Dispatch Board are defined, click the Start button to view all jobs that meet the parameters.

Dispatch Board[edit]

  • Job: Use this tab to open the selected job in the Service Job Maintenance screen. Please refer to Jobs for additional information.
  • Transactions: Select the Transactions tab to view all transactions posted to the service job.
  • Site: Use this tab to open the site for the selected job in the Site Masterfile screen. Please refer to Sites for additional information.
  • Agreement: Use this icon to view the agreement attached to the job in the Agreement Masterfile screen.
  • Equipment: Use this tab to view the equipment attached to the job in the Equipment & Warranty Inquiry screen. Please refer to Equipment for additional information.
  • History: Select the History tab to view a complete history of service jobs assigned to the service site.
  • Map: Select the Map tab to view an embedded Google Map tied to the service site.
  • Dispatch Card: Select the Dispatch Card tab to add/edit the information on the dispatch card and to add multiple service technicians to a service job.
  • Schedule: Use this tab to open the Schedule Out Task screen, where users can allocate scheduled time per servicer.
  • Timer: The Timer is used to automatically record the start and stop times for service activities. The system will use the default L1 labor code assigned to the service site; however the labor code can be changed. Think of the Timer button as a button on a stopwatch. When the user presses it, it starts, when the user presses it again, it stops. The Timer button on the Dispatch Board is the same way, except the stopwatch is associated with a particular technician.To use this feature follow these instructions.
    • Select an existing job from within the Daily Dashboard.
    • Click on the Timer button. This starts the timer and automatically enters a time in the Start time box.
    • Click on the Timer button again to stop the timer. This will automatically record the end time and the total hours lapsed (Rec'd Qty) for the service activity. The user can view this time by clicking the Timer Icon.
    • All times are displayed in 4-digit, 24-hour format (military time).

Weekly Dispatch Board[edit]

The Weekly Dispatch Board is a fully customizable graphical dispatch board, which provides the ability to do the following:

  • Customize the Weekly Dispatch Board
  • The ability to schedule service jobs on a quarter hour increment

Select the Weekly Dispatch Board from the Dispatch Menu. Once selected the following screen is presented.

This section will discuss the available options when a users clicks on a job on the Weekly Dispatch Board.

  • Job: Use this tab to open the selected job in the Service Job Maintenance screen. Please refer to Jobs for additional information.
